Meet the Nuclear AMRC’s team of industrial advisors.

The Nuclear AMRC’s regionally-based industrial advisors guide companies through Fit For Nuclear and our other supplier development programmes.

They will work with your company throughout the entire journey of business improvement, providing impartial advice and guiding you through every step. They carry out the on-site assessments, offer feedback on action plans, and provide ongoing support after granting.

Nigel covers County Durham, Cumbria, North & West Yorkshire, Northumberland, Redcar & Cleveland, Tyne & Wear, Northern Ireland and Scotland. He has worked in the automotive sector and for the Manufacturing Advisory Service, and also ran his own consultancy.

Dug covers Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. He previously worked for the National Skills Academy for Nuclear and the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board.

Paul Hayes

Paul covers Berkshire, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, London, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex and Wiltshire. He was previously technical director for an electronics company, and a quality consultant in oil & gas, motorsport and nuclear.

John Hilton

John covers East, South and West Yorkshire. He previously worked in welding and training roles for companies including Rolls-Royce's civil nuclear business, before joining the Nuclear AMRC as senior welding technician.

Andy Hinton

Andy covers Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Shropshire and Staffordshire. He previously worked in a variety of industry positions, with the Manufacturing Advisory Service, and in other consultancy roles.

Huw covers Bristol, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire, and all of Wales. He previously worked for the Manufacturing Advisory Service, and in various roles with PPG Industries.

Sean covers Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. He previously worked for engineering companies supplying to the nuclear sector, and spent four years managing the Nuclear AMRC's membership programme.

Kevin covers Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland. He previously worked at the Manufacturing Advisory Service, and has over 30 years’ experience of engineering and just-in-time manufacturing.

Kevin leads the industrial advisor team, and is responsible for delivering a host of other supply chain projects. A chartered engineer, he has 40 years' experience in senior positions, and previously worked for the Manufacturing Advisory Service.
